opening event

Come join our Carlsbad Coworking Jelly 2/25 @10am-2pm!

What is this Friday's gravy event all about?

gravy's goal is to build a community of people who work from home, and bring them together into one space. A space that would inspire creativity, productivity, and networking ability. This will be the first of many that we will conduct, in order to access the demand for such a place in San Diego North County. Once we've established a solid community, gravy would build a permanent location where we could call gravy. An office where everyone can call their own.

Thank you for your support!

why #coworking is like architecture school

i've asked myself. why this creative coworking space journey? where does this uncontrollable, christmas morning feeling/passion/need/motivation come from?

*ding* i finally figured it out.

i'm trying to recreate architecture school.
architecture/planner  "A" as the first "coworker?"

the people: the diversity, the talent, the shared passion.

the space: drafting tables in an open space (yeah, that long ago). great window wall of light. the freedom to make your space your own. the bottomless stack of stuff that can only be described as "creation in progress."

the workshop, the darkroom, the couches, the beer machine, the rooftop (via window). places to make stuff and places to take a break from making stuff.

the cameraderie, the collaboration, the bonding, the spontaneous breaking out in song/dance/scream/sleep/laughter/hanukkah ritual. the right-braining all the time.

the all-nighters, the physical, emotional, mental pain.

the creativity, the inspiration, the energy.

why can't work feel like that everyday (well, minus the pain part)? is that too much to ask?

consuming gravy

take advantage of it and use in all ways possible...
it's the latest trend in this economy. why? because companies and non-profits have been forced to use them to save money. office rental space has become very expensive. so the next best thing is renting desk space with flexible options.

with gravy, it's the best of both worlds. you come and go as you please, but when you're in it, you will find inspiration in the workers around you, creativity with the vibe surrounding you, and productivity as you work with others around you.

the biggest benefit gravy can offer is 'community'. where we all meet, work and share.

why gravy?

kim's sketchbook | name brainstorming

gravy...
it's a sauce.
it binds, it enhances, it connects.
it's the icing, the cherry.
it's an expression.
don't worry, we're gravy.
everything else is gravy.

coworking...
it's a movement.
it's a gathering, a community that binds, enhances, connects.
it's collaboration, shared ideas.
it's expression.
it's inspiration!

we're passing the gravy. want some?

hey, did i just haiku my way thru that? oh, so close!

the coworking vibe

jelly atlanta coworking
Why coworking...
1. So you don't forget to shower in the morning
2. Need to network, but hate attending networking events
3. You are not an expert in everything
4. You have gotten into a fight over a cafe electrical outlet
5. You meet with clients in your kitchen

If you could answer yes to some or all of the above, then please read on, as this is for YOU.

Yes, you could work from the comforts of your home...but there is so much you could be missing.

Coworking brings energy, ideas, and inspiration.
It's like going to a restaurant to eat for the ambiance.
It's like having wine with a friend for the social aspect.
It's like shopping with a crowd for the buzz of competition.
Or doing business at a ballgame or on the green
Better yet, it's the art of socializing that every human being desires.
So why work alone?
